Religion aside faith perseveres

A large and left leaning university campus offers the traditional challenge of the intelligentsia s aversion to the divine. It would seem then that God and all derivatives thereof are mostly unwelcome in Madison. Madison one would say is an atheist. When Madison considers Christianity it thinks of obstinate resistance to scientific progress. When Madison considers Sikhism it gets slightly perplexed and confuses it with a host of other religions. The Madison image of religion is increasingly becoming one of Crusades of extremism and terror. Instead we focus upon organized religion s many foibles and idiosyncrasies for they are glaring indeed. Faith as I see it demands at its most base a loving relationship with the Divine and the earthly. I call Christmas Christmas. In light of all the apparent foibles inherent in my faith I keep believing. Sometimes I can t help but believe it myself. The place was spotless during my two hour walk through not a dust bunny or cobweb in sight. Trias Select Elect

So I ve decided to cover that now with respect to various things that are important to me personally. Traditionally I have been a swinging voter and a protest voter too I suppose. Have voted for both sides before and some minors to boot. As an aid here s a simple summary of the major parties a la Yanqui. Liberal The incumbent conservative party usually considered a strong business party. Labour The primary opposition a powerful party of moderate politics and strong trade union ties. National The minor party allied with the liberals in a Coalition. The Nationals are conservative country farming party strong in rural seats. Greens A minor extreme liberal party obviously with an environmental agenda. So we re talking major parties minors and a bunch of tiny or independents. Let s start with the party s face. Leadership Liberals John Howard was once a good leader. Unfortunately he s become worse over time to his current state of low energy and high rhetoric.! His arrogance is a significant negative to me. He does intend to retire and hand power to Peter Costello. Presuming that s true I feel very bad about that. Costello is a poor leader with even worse charisma. Labour Kevin Rudd is relatively new and young. He s shown himself to be capable in debating and doesn t blink with Mr Howard. He also doesn t seem to have the instability or unpopularity his predecessors had. He s eloquent and intelligent. I feel positive about his abilities as a leader. Our family is slightly better off now but I personally am not. The promises seem to offer nothing to me or my family economically. Labour Little to go by really. Their policies are similar to the Liberals. Historically I haven t been very impressed by Labour. Others Unless they get some real power it really is too hard to judge. Greens and Family First could be disastrous. The Liberals want to bash them while they are weaker to give business an edge. It was severe and! for reasons and so Liberals backpedalled and slapped a fairness test on it. IMO this test could actually be bad for business when Labour gets in power. All that aside it doesn t mean squat to me. I actually prefer unions and business to fight. That is somewhat mitigated by my appreciation of getting anything at all. Health Liberals I m pretty irate on how poorly the Liberals have performed in the area. The best offered is to handball responsibility to the state governments. But this is time for grownups. Taking responsibility you know. And given my own health care it s a significant black mark for the state and national incumbents. I have myself and my family to watch out for here and secure I do not feel. Crime and Justice My only exposure to this issue has been limited. Which is to say i haven t suffered any major crime in a while. Environment Climate Change is real. Many other environmental problems are also real. I am not with most conservatives on this issue who mostly are denialists. I feel the Liberals have done as litt! le as possible on the issue. In this way I am disappointed with the Greens. I feel religious services are an after school activity if desired. So in this area I m largely with the Liberals and against pretty much every other party. I am not so charmed by the refugee illegal immigrant situation. I support quick processing and removal of legal involvement. Accept them in or reject them and send them home. I also think Australia needs a more accepting legal immigration system. In short we don t need illegal immigrants we need more legal ones. Gay Obviously gay issues have some importance to me as well. They are very quiet in order to keep their Christian gay hating fan base. Labour promises some defacto like arrangements and is as quiet as they feel they can be. Rudd did state he did not support gay marriage. The Greens are gay friendly. At this time I lean mildly towards Labour.

NBA Game Summary Seattle At Charlotte KIRO 7 SeattleTacoma

Prior to this season the team had never been over . through more than three games. The Bobcats held a huge advantage on the boards. We didn t want to give them second and third chances Wallace said. We wanted to come in an limit them to one shot. We were able to get the boards and get out and run. They outscored the Sonics in the second half. Raymond Felton had points assists and seven rebounds in the victory. Durant had points on just of shooting Saturday night. We have to compete more Sonics coach P. We have guys getting the ball ripped out of their hands. We ve got guys not passing the ball on fast breaks to other guys who are open. I mean stuff like that that s inexcusable. Carroll ended with points. Seattle led at the half and extended the margin to with left in the third following a Durant layup. However Charlotte scored the next eight culminated by a Felton layup. The two teams will meet again March in Seattle. This was Charlotte s first win o! ver a Western Conference opponent this season. The Sonics are on their road trip which ends Monday in Memphis. Somethings wrong at the heart of Love Seattle Times

Rated R for sexual content nudity and brief language. in is an epic love story gently flavored with magic realism. Affonso Beato s cinematography revels in twilight framing the characters in a delicate sapphire glow. The performance of Javier Bardem in the central role is also problematic. Ariza spends the following decades writing and womanizing until a widowed Fermina enters his life again. There s little chemistry between him and Mezzegiorno who was lovely in Facing Windows and little opportunity for it. And several of the supporting actors particularly Leguizamo give performances of shrieking unsubtlety. The book s magical mood is lost the movie s pretty pictures alas make a poor replacement. See which companies won.

They replaced foods such as white bread and highly processed breakfast cereals with whole grains. Meanwhile the other group ate a typical Western diet. The mechanism and the results are clear as day. It s worth telling patients about because it shows that diet is important Johnson says. We do know that acne is a more severe disease in Westerners . so there s got to be some connection there. Barbara Reed a dermatologist and spokeswoman for the AAD. But Johnson also thinks it s too soon to conclusively link acne to diet. Today patients with mild to moderate acne are typically given a retinoid such as Retin A and topical antibiotics. Author outlines keys to alternative medicine The Frisco Enterprise

He decided the doctor was wrong and went in search of something that could help him. With that in mind Smith began paying more attention to methods of treatment the doctors knew little about. A lot of medicine doesn t have all the answers. Just because doctors say there s nothing they can do doesn t mean nothing can be done Smith said. You can change your physical being by what you think and believe. He advocates people taking responsibility for their health but does not oppose conventional medicine. Nor does he tell people to stop seeing their doctor or using conventional treatments. He said everyone must go on their own journey and make their own decisions. His book would be a good starting place to begin that journey. He hasn t organized the book that way. He recommends the reader read the whole book rather than just bits and pieces. Although the book is interesting to read that way. Pick up the book and find out just what resonant frequency therapy o! r ion hydrotherapy are. Smith wrote the book to help other people. His search found something that helped him when the Mayo Clinic did not. He said one key is to find the source of the problem. That can involve tapping into the unconscious mind. The subconscious mind processes four billion pieces of information per second. The conscious mind handles only pieces of information per second Smith said. In the subconscious everything is today. His primary message is hope. There s always hope.
