Faith Saving souls through the spirit of gospel music By ERIC O. SHIPMAN T HE FRUIT of the righteous is a tree of life and he that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs I ve been blessed by God and this is my testimony. I was born in the small town of Hallsboro N.C. to a strong black woman named Estella Shipman Hyman. After I was my father separated himself from a son that longed to be fathered but God had a plan for my life. Not only did my mother raise me but my great grandmother Lillie B. Shaw influenced my life like no other. She introduced me to Jesus Christ at a very young age. Every! Sunday morning I remember how my great grandmother gathered the whole family for devotional time. One would read the Scripture s another would pray and someone else would sing hyms like In The Cross and No Not One. I can still hear her singing those songs. I would love for that to be my whole testimony but that is just the beginning. When my mother and I moved to Philadelphia I was . Being introduced to so many new things in a new place at such a fast rate my only regret is that I was exposed to the bad as well as the good. Not only did I learn how to be responsible and earn a little money at a supermarket bagging groceries I was also exposed to everything from drugs to pornography by those in the streets I considered to be my friends. I learned how to do everything I could get away with. It would take a loving and forgiving God to change my life from darkness to light and deliver me from the sinful strongholds in my life. After receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as my person! al Savior at age I began my new life and wanted to share this newfound joy with everyone who would listen. At age I sang my first solo in a church. That led me to a greater love and appreciation for gospel music that continues to this day. It has taken seven years but I ve finished my CD titled What Will It Take. It took life s experiences and the anointing of God to catapult me to where I am today. It was my first wife Minister Linda Shipman who is now with the Lord who prayed for my anointing to write songs to God s glory. Many times after I ve ministered in song people have approached me to say how much they were blessed. There was this one particular service in which a young lady who was dressed in Muslim garb approached me to say that she was moved by the song she had just heard. She even stated that she was almost persuaded to become a Christian. This speaks volumes to me. Gospel music can even break through religious barriers to convict the hearts of people. And when I hear from the parents of children who are as young as singing songs ! that I ve written it says much more to me than anything that I can describe. I ve sung different genres of music but none can compare to the life changing effect of gospel music. No other music can inspire and provoke you to live a life for Christ. God has given me this gift to sing and it s my responsibility to use it for his glory. Editor s note For more information concerning Eric O. US evangelicals call for step back from politics AlertNet

One in four U.S. adults count themselves as evangelical Protestants giving them serious clout in a country where religion and politics often mix. Conservative evangelicals have become a key support base for the Republican Party. But the movement has had growing pains and the statement issued on Wednesday ca! lled an Evangelical Manifesto is the latest sign of emerging fractures as some activists seek to broaden its agenda beyond hot button social issues such as opposition to abortion and gay rights. Christians from both sides of the political spectrum left as well as right have made the mistake of politicizing faith the manifesto declares. That way faith loses its independence the church becomes the regime at prayer Christians become useful idiots for one political party or another and the Christian faith becomes an ideology in its purest form it said. The manifesto was signed by leading and mostly centrist evangelicals such as Leith Anderson president of the million member National Association of Evangelicals Mark Bailey president of the Dallas Theological Seminary and evangelical academic and author David Gushee. Many of the more than signatories have been critical in the past of evangelical partisan involvement which was seen as the crucial element behind U.S. President Geor! ge W. Bush s re election victory in . Leading figures on the conservative Religious Right such as Tony Perkins president of the Family Research Council did not sign the document and his office said he had not been asked to sign it. LIMITED POLITICAL IMPACT Michael Cromartie vice president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center said of the statement It s a sign of maturation of the evangelical movement . It s an important theological document but it will have limited political influence because it is making a essentially a theological argument. The document also highlights divisions that have been there for a while as some leading evangelicals attempt to redirect the movement s considerable energies toward areas such as action on global poverty and climate change. Polls show growing numbers of evangelicals receptive to a wider social agenda and Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have been attempting to woo them in a bid to peel some away from the Republican camp ahead of the November election showdown with John ! McCain. But analysts say most are still center right politically and polls consistently show most remain opposed to abortion rights. They are also deeply committed to their faith. We have a big umbrella called evangelicalism which is theological in nature. We are called to be followers of Jesus Christ and men and women of the book said John Huffman a pastor and chairman of the board of Christianity Today. Huffman who helped draft the document told Reuters by telephone that the group wanted to bring back civility of discourse in the public square. Apple Pro Apps Not for Sale The Mac Observer
Skip navigational links Home Features Reviews Blogs Opinions Tips Shootouts Reports Archives Reader Specials Forums AvantGo Search Contact RSS Choose text size DealsOnTheWeb Daily Deal GB iPod Touch Delivered Apple Pro Apps Not for Sale by Jeff Gamet AM EDT May th In a rare move Apple commented on rumor and speculation when company officials denied that its pro level applications including Final Cut Pro are up for sale. The rumor began when Robert X. Cringely reported last week that Apple was looking for a buyer at NAB this year according to TVBEurope . According to Mr. Cringley Apple wants to offload Aperture Final Cut Pro Logic and Shake as a precursor to buying Adobe. By selling off its pro apps Apple is less likely to face problems when clearing potential antitrust hurdles. That s why Apple was shopping the programs at NAB he said. Apple s director of marketing for professional video applications Richard Townhill said that Mr. Cringley is flat out wrong and that the Fina! l Cut Suite is not up for grabs. I can categorically state on the record that is not the case he said. While selling off the Final Cut Suite could potentially make sense if Apple really were on the prowl to buy Adobe the Mac and iPod maker could instead sell off Adobe Premiere as part of a buyout agreement and hold on to its successful Final Cut Pro instead. Apple however isn t likely in the market to buy Adobe only to have to take on the burden of supporting applications like Photoshop Illustator InDesign and Acrobat. Getting control over Flash and PDF would be a big plus for Apple but not at the cost of its own already successful video and audio production applications. The Best Satisfaction You Had In Your Life
We can name free time a period of time when different people have nothing to do i.e. they don't have to do any work or other type of activity, so they have some free time. It also does not consist of the compulsory deeds such as having dinner or sleeping. This word derives from Latin and means to be permitted or to be free. This notion appeared in Victorian Epoch in Britain when workers have got their 8-hour working day and had two days off per week. At that period vacations and hobbies appeared. An average human being has two types of leisure: active and passive. During the active free time people consume much energy having kick-boxing or football for example. Also it may be not a physical activity but still it will exhaust a person: playing chess or writing poems. Going to cinema, watching TV etc. are the passive free time when you simply doing nothing, when your brain and body are relaxed from any exertions. Many people claim that this kind of leisure is irrational i.e. all advantages of leisure time are forfeited. And still, this type of free time is more privileged than active one among different groups of society. We also propose you to spend your leisure in the surrounding of escort in Ukraine. You will have physical and psychical activity and in the same moment relaxation during your sexual meetings with our girls. So it would be definitely useful for you to have this relaxation. The basic thing in such a massage is that it is done with the help of a woman's body but not just with her hands. You will feel her hips, breech and tits. And if you didn't have this satisfaction earlier than you are to have this time. A person always needs a diversity in his feelings and experiences and an erotic massage is a marvelous variety in sex. A lot of people are also afraid of the notion prostitute. Nowadays this tendency is lesser that several years ago, but still too many persons don't respect prostitutes. Society interprets prostitution the same as they see sexual activities for the definite period of time. First of all, sex often presents a satisfaction to people. As a conclusion we can consider sex a usual article of trade that one may buy anywhere. And from the other hand, sex that is not related to procreation was at all times condemned. And public morals tabooed shuffled sexual activities and condemned everyone who had sex out of family. In the authoritarian regime states were strict censure on sexual activities and prostitution in general. The attitude to sex has begun to convert in the firs half of the twentieth century mostly in the Western countries. Terrible attitude that the term prostitution has is reflected on the other fields of human activity. We may name any political person a political prostitute if he is connected with corruption. But modern philosophy instructs us to be tolerant to everybody and prostitutes are also contained in this list. If you are a person of this century and want to have some rest with a beautiful elite prostitute contact our service and we would help you to have pleasure.

Googles Shadow Hung Over MicrosoftYahoo Deal PC World via Yahoo News
Primary Navigation Home U.S. Business World Entertainment Sports Tech Politics Elections Science Health Most Popular Secondary Navigation Tech Video Internet Gadgets Digital A V Security Apple Macintosh Linux Open Source Video Games Markets Search All News Yahoo News Only News Photos Video Audio Advanced Google s Shadow Hung Over Microsoft Yahoo Deal Juan Carlos Perez IDG News Service Sun May AM ET In the end Google played a significant part in the undoing of Microsoft s bid for Yahoo the latest example of Google s ability to interfere with Microsoft s attempts to boost its online advertising business. While the main reason Microsoft dropped its bid was a disagreement over price Google served as the ammunition that Yahoo needed to discourage Microsoft from launching a hostile takeover . At least that s what Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer maintains. As outlined in the letter he sent Saturday to his Yahoo counterpart Jerry Yang Microsoft discarded the option of a hostile takeover! when Yahoo threatened to outsource part of its search advertising to Google. Deriding the Google Factor We regard with particular concern your apparent planning to respond to a hostile bid by pursuing a new arrangement that would involve or lead to the outsourcing to Google of key paid Internet search terms offered by Yahoo today Ballmer wrote. In our view such an arrangement with the dominant search provider would make an acquisition of Yahoo undesirable to us for a number of reasons. Google has been a thorn on Microsoft s side for years. It has prompted countless valuable employees to hand Ballmer resignation letters on their way to the fabled Googleplex. It outbid Microsoft for DoubleClick . Not content with humiliating Microsoft in search advertising Google is brazenly aiming for Microsoft s software business with its line of hosted business applications. It s fair to assume that Ballmer s hatred for the search giant grew this weekend seeing Google insert itself into t! he picture and make itself available to Yahoo as a potential spoiler of the deal. In his letter to Yang Ballmer said a tie up with Google would fundamentally undermine Yahoo s own strategy and long term viability by pushing more customers towards Google s advertising platform. Yahoo of course would not see an advertising deal with Google as the corporate suicide that Ballmer makes it out to be. Google Yahoo Deal Pending The company declined to comment about Ballmer s characterization of the Google deal but a source familiar with Yahoo s plans said the company did not use it as a way to repel Microsoft. The commercial agreement was always something that the board of directors had considered as a way to monetize the search business said the person who asked for anonymity. A deal to outsource part of Yahoo s search ad business to Google is still on the table and could be announced next week the person said. But while the deal would yield benefits in the short term the longer term consequences of a Google tie up could be disastrous for Yahoo and B! allmer spends much of his letter arguing that would be the case. An outsourcing deal would send a confusing message to Yahoo advertisers and prevent Yahoo from offering clients the benefits of a unified platform for both display and search advertising Ballmer wrote. He states convincingly that engineers working on Yahoo s ad systems would head for the door and that regulatory and legal problems would rain down on Yahoo and any company that acquired it. Even more horrifying for Ballmer the deal would empower Google even more in search advertising where it is already dominant. Accordingly your apparent plan to pursue such an arrangement in the event of a proxy contest or exchange offer leads me to the firm decision not to pursue such a path Ballmer wrote. Playing the Spoiler In other words had it not been for the prospect of an outsourcing deal with Google tonight s announcement would have likely been that Microsoft was getting ready to attempt a hostile takeover . Thus Googl! e has helped accomplish what it wanted ever since Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Yahoo to see the bid fizzle out. And by extension Google manages again to disrupt Microsoft s plans to give its Internet business a quick and major boost. Barat slams Coldplays music giveaway world entertainment news via Yahoo UK Ireland News
Dirty Pretty Things star Carl Barat has criticised Coldplay for giving away their latest single for free insisting the move is bad for the music industry. The Yellow hitmakers gave fans the chance to download their new track Violet Hill for free from their official website earlier this week. Coldplay follow in the footsteps of artists including Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails who have also allowed music lovers to sample their music without paying. But Barat is convinced that when high profile bands give their music away it makes it much harder for lesser known musicians for make a living. He says You could say they Coldplay were jumping on the bandwagon a bit. You can t escape the fact that big name big money bands who release their stuff for free are harming the scene. Engineers Make Good Terrorists
Engineers Make Good Terrorists An anonymous reader writes Engineers focus and attention to details along with their perceived lack of social skills make them ideal targets to be recruited as terrorists according to EETimes. Planning skills make engineers good field operatives was written up by Raphael Perl who heads the Action against Terrorism Unit of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. He offers that Engineers ideally make excellent strategic planners and they make excellent field operatives. They think differently from how other people think. That may sound like a stereotype but Perl claims that because of those traits terrorist groups actively recruit engineers. He says that Al Qaeda has widely acknowledged that a significant number of the group s top leadership had engineering backgrounds. This the second time in just a few months that engineers have been likened to terrorists. Read more of this story at Slashdot.
